My Priorities
- Improving Londoners' quality of life - by pressing for more affordable housing, safer streets, improved transport and a greener environment.
- Challenging the Tories in Local Government - by being an independent voice against the 3 Tory controlled Councils (in the boroughs of Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington & Chelsea and City of Westminster)
- Better accountability - by using my legal skills to hold the Mayor to account, to ensure greater transparency and value for money services.
The Liberal Democrats are the Real Alternative to the Labour Government and to the Tory Local Government, neither of which are open nor sufficiently accountable to you. Only with the Liberal Democrats can you be assured of an open and transparent government that puts the people and community at the heart of decision making. Not spin and image. And not arrogance and complacency.
We pledge to create a fairer, greener and safer London for you. And remember, ALL LONDONERS, no matter what your background or aspirations, have a right to be heard and have your views represented.

Fighting closure of local post offices
I feel very proud to be a Londoner – to live in our cultural, sporting and commercial capital. But sometimes I worry what kind of London my children will inherit. Violent crime is rising, house prices are out of reach of ordinary people and our transport system is close to break down. And worryingly aviation expansion threatens our environment and quality of life.
London doesn’t have to be like this
With the right team on the GLA and strong leadership I believe we can tackle these problems head on. London could be safer and greener like other great cities in the world. With long-term planning and investment our transport system could meet the needs of the future, alleviating the daily misery commuters’ face. And for many families and young people affordable housing could be a reality.
This is my vision for London. But I need your help to make it happen.

Launching a crime awareness campaign
As a City Lawyer I have the necessary legal skills and economic know-how to hold the Mayor to account and to think creatively about the funding challenges that face London. As a dedicated party activist I will work to promote Lib Dem values of fairness, tolerance and social justice.
As a mother, community mediator and trustee of charitable organisations, I have a grass roots understanding of the challenges that many Londoners, especially those on low incomes, face. Political experience is useful but we also need GLA members with real life experience too. That is why I have decided to stand - I want action for Londoners and not just words. I hope you will support me.
